Handbag Birthday Cake!

Carving a cake is a nerve-racking experience but it can be very rewarding! I knew that this cake would take a lot of time and effort so I wanted to make it for a very special occasion. I hope that the young lady who received this 'handbag' enjoyed it very much!

Wilton Fondant Alphabet Number Cutters

Gum Paste

Fondant

Lessons learned:

• Next time, I'd paint the buckles, zippers, d-rings etc with copper icing color as the gold dust that I used was not dark enough.
